Portland Day 3

At the end of our day, we stopped at Munson Falls. We are so small and insignificant in the big picture. I couldn't help remembering Kylie and her daring ways last year at Horsetail falls. (It is a Mom's job to worry) To keep me in line, she climbed up this tree!!

Portland Visit

Jim and I traveled to Portland to visit Kylie's world. We ate BBQ upon arrival. On Sunday, we walked around the "Saturday" Market. Sunday evening, we went down memory lane with Tim, Cindy, and Lauren Hayes in Vancouver, WA (and Joanie from Netherlands!!). Tim brought out old pictures and memories for us to share. We are now at Cannon Beach...more updates later!!

Bucks!!!! More Lake Nature

Last night at Kanapolis, we went out on our regular nature photography hunt. We happened upon this social group of deer. There were 4 bucks and one doe. If you look closely, the bucks pictured are still in velvet and have very nice antlers growing. Jim said that he has never seen bucks that big where he hunts during the fall. We only took about 150 pictures. They were awesome!!!

4th of July

We went to the parade in Sterling and then to the lake for fireworks on Saturday.. I still need some lessons on how to take pictures of the fireworks...

Garden Update

The harvests are small, but so is the garden. As it continues to grow, I probably won't be able to get to the tomatoes to pick them. I planted parts of it a bit too tight.

Haley's Last Game

Haley had her last softball game last night. You will have to ask her just how high the ball was in the second picture!! She did hit the next pitch for a double and a RBI!!
